Doctor Who Royal Albert Hall this Summer

Royal Albert Hall at PromsI know that here in America we get the short end of the stick for things Doctor Who. It was to my surprise the Matt Smith, Karen Gillam and Steven Moffat made a NYC appearance to promote the season opener of Doctor Who on BBC America on April 17, 2010. With that aside, sometimes American Doctor Who fans yearn to further their Doctor Who interaction. Well if you happen to be lucky or fortunate enough to travel to Great Britain this summer and you time it right, then you can have the opportunity to experience another aspect of Doctor Who. At the same time, a bit of culture can be bestowed upon you also. According to, “The Doctor Who proms, which will feature the voices of London Philharmonic Choir, will be performed on July 24 and 25 and the first concert will be broadcast live on BBC Radio 3 at 7.30pm.” That means if you are planning on being in London during the July 24 & 25, 2010 time frame, then you need to purchase your tickets for the Royal Albert Hall performances. If you are a miss on what an English Prom is, then refer to this Wiki page for all the details. For information on the 2010 BBC Proms season click here and for information about the July 24 Doctor Who Prom click here. To add to the fun, both Matt Smith and Karen Gillam will be hosts at and introduce the BBC National Orchestra of Wales at the two concert events. If I happen to be in the London area at that time, then I will certainly be at the Royal Albert Hall being cultured and enjoying sounds of Doctor Who.
